1. What we collect

We collect the information you provide when you create an account, post a job, submit a quote, leave a review, verify your identity or contact support. This includes your name, email address, postcode, phone number, job details, payment information and any documents uploaded for verification.

We also process limited technical data such as IP address, browser type and device information as part of serving and securing the website. We do not run advertising, marketing or third-party analytics tracking on this site.

2. How we use your information

We use your data to operate the marketplace: matching customers with relevant professionals, processing payments, sending notifications, preventing fraud and providing customer support. We may also use aggregated data to improve the platform and understand marketplace trends.

3. Who we share data with

We share only the information necessary to provide our services. This includes verified professional details shared with customers (name, business name, ratings, service areas), payment data processed by our payment provider Stripe, and communication data needed to deliver messages between users.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

FixAll-er uses strictly necessary technologies only. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing cookies or third-party analytics such as Google Analytics, and we do not track you across other websites.

What we store on your device:

• Sign-in session — your login session is stored in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in. Essential.
• Security protection — a short-lived token used to protect form submissions against cross-site request forgery. Essential.
• Interface preferences — small entries remembering things such as a dismissed app-install prompt, a trade you typed before signing in, or whether an admin menu is expanded. Essential to the function you asked for, and not used to profile you.

Because these are all strictly necessary for a service you have requested, UK PECR does not require a consent banner for them. If we ever introduce analytics or marketing technologies, we will ask for your consent first and give you a way to accept, reject or change your choice.

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings, though signing out and clearing the session data will end your session.

5. Data retention

We keep your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax and dispute-resolution requirements.

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Dashboard → Account, in the app or on the website. This removes your name, photo, profile, contact details and the content of your messages, and permanently closes your sign-in. Records of completed payments, commission and refunds are retained for as long as UK accounting and tax law requires. Full details are on our account deletion page.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data. You can update most information directly in your account settings. For other requests, contact us at support@fixall-er.co.uk.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption, access controls and secure hosting to protect your data. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong password and keep your account details safe.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page, with the date of the most recent change shown at the top.
